On your device. No account needed.

How it works

Choose a maximum file size and FileFit searches a bounded set of encoding settings. If no dimensions are fixed, it can also reduce pixel dimensions. Every output is checked against actual bytes.

  1. Choose one or more supported images and enter the maximum file size in KB.
  2. Choose the output format and quality ceiling. Set dimensions only if your upload requires them.
  3. Compress, compare the preview and byte count, then download individually or as a ZIP.

Supported files and limits

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and browser-decodable AVIF. Images are limited to 32 megapixels. Up to 40 MB per file; batches up to 20 files and 80 MB. Single-document operations accept one PDF.

Useful answers

Can I compress JPG without losing quality?

JPG re-encoding is lossy, so detail can change. A smaller original may be returned unchanged when no transform is needed. Review the result rather than relying on a quality percentage.

Why does the PNG quality setting disappear?

Native PNG encoding is lossless and does not use the JPG/WebP lossy quality setting. To make a PNG smaller, reduce dimensions or choose another format if transparency and the destination permit it.

Does reducing file size change the original?

No. The source stays on your device. FileFit creates a separate downloadable result and reports its actual size.
