How it works
FileFit checks an image against your chosen byte limit and dimensions. For existing PDFs, it attempts structural optimization and reports whether the measured result fits; it cannot guarantee a PDF target.
- Choose an image or one PDF. Images and PDFs are processed in separate runs.
- For an image, set maximum KB, dimensions, fit mode, and output format. For a PDF, set the size you want to check.
- Process the file, inspect readability and actual bytes, and download. An over-limit result is marked clearly.
Supported files and limits
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and browser-decodable AVIF. Images are limited to 32 megapixels. Up to 40 MB per file; batches up to 20 files and 80 MB. Single-document operations accept one PDF.
Useful answers
Can one tool fix both file size and dimensions?
Yes for images. Enter the maximum size and dimensions together. Exact dimensions take priority, so a very small byte limit may be unreachable.
Can FileFit guarantee a PDF under 2 MB?
No. The existing-PDF path rewrites PDF objects without downsampling scanned images. It may reduce size, but some PDFs need a different source or an advanced PDF editor.
Is a file under the size limit guaranteed to be accepted?
No. The destination may also check format, dimensions, naming rules, page count, or photo framing. Review its instructions and your downloaded file.
