How it works
Image conversion decodes the source and encodes a new file; it does not just rename the extension. Choose JPG for broad photo compatibility, PNG for alpha and lossless encoding, or WebP where supported.
- Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or a browser-decodable AVIF image.
- Select the output format. For JPG, choose a background for transparent pixels under Advanced options.
- Convert, compare the preview, and download the file with its actual encoded format.
Supported files and limits
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and browser-decodable AVIF. Images are limited to 32 megapixels. Up to 40 MB per file; batches up to 20 files and 80 MB. Single-document operations accept one PDF.
Useful answers
Can I convert WebP or AVIF to JPG?
Yes. Choose the source in this converter and select JPG. AVIF decoding depends on the browser. HEIC uses a locally loaded decoder.
Can FileFit export AVIF?
Only if the browser actually supports AVIF encoding. Unsupported encoding is reported as an error rather than saving PNG with an AVIF filename.
Does converting to PNG improve a blurry JPG?
No. PNG can avoid additional lossy encoding, but cannot recover detail already missing from the source.
