How it works

FileFit calculates the requested dimensions, provides crop positioning, and can create a 6 × 4 inch photo sheet. It does not verify head size, lighting, background suitability, or official national requirements.

  1. Read your application’s current photo rules, then choose a source photo.
  2. Set dimensions and PPI, choose Crop to fill, and adjust horizontal and vertical positioning under Advanced options.
  3. Create the photo or sheet. Check framing and print at the intended physical size without automatic scaling.

Supported files and limits

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and browser-decodable AVIF. Images are limited to 32 megapixels. Up to 40 MB per file; batches up to 20 files and 80 MB. Single-document operations accept one PDF.

Useful answers

Is a 35 × 45 mm photo automatically compliant?

No. Dimensions are only one rule. Official requirements can also govern head framing, expression, background, recency, and printing.

What pixel size is 35 × 45 mm at 300 PPI?

Approximately 413 × 531 pixels after whole-pixel rounding. A different PPI changes the required pixel count.

How should I print the photo sheet?

The sheet is 1800 × 1200 pixels, intended for 6 × 4 inches at 300 PPI. Set that size in your print dialog and avoid fit-to-page scaling.
