How it works
FileFit starts with a 300 × 100 pixel padded canvas and a 50 KB limit. Change these to your form’s actual requirements. A 20 KB target is available, but readability and exact dimensions can make it impractical.
- Choose a clear signature image and enter the required width, height, and maximum KB.
- Choose JPG or PNG as required. Review whitespace trimming and optional contrast under Advanced options.
- Resize and inspect every stroke at the output size before saving.
Supported files and limits
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and browser-decodable AVIF. Images are limited to 32 megapixels. Up to 40 MB per file; batches up to 20 files and 80 MB. Single-document operations accept one PDF.
Useful answers
How do I make a signature smaller than 20 KB?
Choose the 20 KB preset or enter 20. Crop unnecessary blank space and consider JPG if allowed. If fixed dimensions prevent meeting the limit, FileFit marks the result as over target.
Can whitespace trimming erase faint ink?
Yes. It uses a near-white pixel heuristic, so faint marks can be removed. Disable trimming if strokes are missing and inspect the output carefully.
Will the signature stretch to fit the box?
No. Fit with padding preserves the handwriting’s proportions inside the exact canvas. Crop to fill may cut off parts of a signature, so use it cautiously.
